Two things have become overwhelmingly obvious to me — I LOVE color and mixing different color combinations.
While putting together my new website and taking a trip to the Bronx Botanical Garden and looking at my own garden (some of it quite full of weeds) its so obvious that color and different combinations of color can have a profound effect on me and my mood. When I design rooms I like to evoke different moods. Vibrant, Bold, Soft, Soothing, Neutral, Exciting etc. anything but boring and bland.
Nature has those same feelings — The deep dark red of this peony and the saffron yellow of its center are an unusual combination. This Hellbore has a soft gray green with a dash of acid green in the center which keeps it from getting boring.
