Project: Exterior Refresh
Recently kitchen and bath designer, Sarah Blank, and I were discussing ways to refresh a home’s exterior. Sarah mentioned wanting to paint the exterior of her house black for a fresh look. I was instantly intrigued, recently having seen a modern 80’s home in the Hamptons. The house’s exterior was painted black and it looked fabulous! Afterward, I set out to explore different shades of black for various styles of homes. Regardless of whether they are traditional, gothic, mid century, modern, barn or cottage-style homes, once painted black, a home is instantly given a wonderfully exotic aesthetic.
